The Multidisciplinary Management of Technology (MMOT) Program, initiated by the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT), Ministry of Economic Affairs, aims to strengthen Taiwan’s industrial competitiveness by cultivating multi-disciplinary professionals in advanced technology management. The training curriculum covers three core domains: intellectual property, technology transfer, and investment evaluation. Since its launch in 2000, the program has trained over 1,000 domestic and international participants from diverse backgrounds, including high-tech industries (electronics, telecommunications, biotechnology), traditional SMEs, patent law firms, research institutions, incubation centers, and government agencies.

This book features interviews with 35 alumni across 30 case studies, documenting their career trajectories, mindset shifts before and after training, and professional development. Through these narratives, the publication reveals the program’s educational outcomes and traces Taiwan’s industrial transformations over the past decade.
